Feb Mar 2012

Dear Quilter,

My daughter came home from school with an assignment in Science to build a biome, which is a large geographical area of distinctive plant and animal groups such as a tropical rainforest, in a shoe box.  The instructions said to "Be creative".  Ya think?  I'm recreating a tropical rainforest in a shoe box for Pete's sake.  So doesn't it go without saying that creativity will play a key role.  After creating tropical rainforest trees from broccoli heads, rainforest canopy of Peet moss and hanging vines made from cooked spaghetti dyed green, complete with plastic monkeys hanging on the green spaghetti vines all in a size 5 1/2 shoe box, I think we hit the creative mark.

If you are in need of just the right fabric to hit your creative mark, come in to BSQ.

All That's New and some that isn't...

Frixion pens, more colors of Valdani thread (size 8), quarterly magazine Primitive Quilts, embroidery floss, wool charm packs,  Moda's Rouennaries Deux by French General and Prairie Paisley II, full line of Brannock & Patek wovens, Kansas Troubles Sandhill Plums, Jo Morton's Bridgeport and Tokyo Rococo both from Andover, the beautiful pearlized fabric Fanciful Flight from Hoffman Fabrics, Oodles of Doodles II by Ricky Tims from Red Rooster, What a World from P&B, new colors of Woolies flannel, and so much more.  All of these wonderful new fabrics and many more may be seen on our website, www.bittersweetquilts.com thanks in no small part to Brenda P.
